I love this little section of River Street in Historic Savannah, Georgia, complete with its cobblestone streets full of charm and Southern hospitality. Walking the lovely streets in late evening lends to an air of mystery as you wait for the thick fog to roll in on a rainy evening. The town itself is chocked full of antebellum charm, with flowing Spanish moss hanging from live oak trees and its welcoming shady squares. River Street runs along the broad Savannah River. The town’s century old buildings, once cotton warehouses, are now used for antique shops, distinctive boutiques, galleries, pubs, and nightspots, along with numerous old inns and hotels. Such a lovely place to visit, full of memories and lots of history!
