When I saw this Blue Ridge Mountains sunrise, I thought of the old adage, “Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass... It's about learning to dance in the rain.” I was planning on being in the mountains for an early morning sunrise, and had my heart set on one of those glorious blue-sky days. This breathtaking scene unfolded, and I was mesmerized by the beauty of the sunrise and the approaching storm. I was reminded that we shouldn’t wait for our storm to pass, but embrace it and learn to dance in the rain... Look for the beauty in the face of the storm. This photograph was taken at Grandfather Mountain on the Blue Ridge Parkway in western North Carolina.
