On a recent visit to Louisville, Kentucky, I was thrilled to see such beautiful color in the eastern skies just before sunrise... What a wonderful way to start the day! A lovely city, the town is full of old Southern charm. Louisville is home to the Kentucky Derby, and also hosts several stops on the Kentucky Bourbon Trail. Louisville will always have a special place in my heart, especially for its beautiful sunrises!
Louisville is known as the home of boxer Muhammad Ali, the Kentucky Derby, Kentucky Fried Chicken, the University of Louisville and its Cardinals, Louisville Slugger baseball bats, and three of Kentucky’s six Fortune 500 companies. Louisville is also famous for its wonderful food, including the Kentucky hot brown and Derby pie, not to mention its Kentucky Bourbon. The Urban Bourbon Trail boasts over 35 bars and restaurants with more than 60 bourbons and bourbon-inspired culinary delights, and has more than ten distilleries that are open for public tours and tastings.
