The Arthur J. Ravenel Jr. Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge over the Cooper River in South Carolina, connecting downtown Historic Charleston to the Mount Pleasant area. When the bridge was completed in 2005, it was the longest cable-stayed bridge of its time in North America and the tallest structure in South Carolina. In our recent visit to Mount Pleasant, we had the pleasure of seeing a glorious sunset over the Ravenel Bridge. This photograph was taken at twilight, not long after the sun had gone down. Memories abound!
