Description
The Arthur J. Ravenel Jr. Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge over the Cooper River in South Carolina, connecting downtown Historic Charleston to the Mount Pleasant area. The Ravenel Bridge is often referred to as the Cooper River Bridge. In our recent visit to Mount Pleasant and Shem Creek, we had the pleasure of seeing a glorious sunset over the Ravenel Bridge. This photograph was taken at twilight, not long after the sun had gone down. Such wonderful memories abound!
This award-winning artwork captures the majestic bridge spanning the Cooper River, connecting Charleston and Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. This captivating wall art depicts a momentous golden sunset casting its warm glow upon the river and the iconic suspension bridge, creating a breathtaking silhouette against the tranquil waters of the Cooper River. When the bridge was completed in 2005, it was the longest cable-stayed bridge of its time in North America and the tallest structure in South Carolina.
