We often visit Historic Jonesborough, Tennessee, and visiting the Christopher Taylor cabin is always a treasure, as we step back in time. A 2-story log cabin, the Christopher Taylor house was built in 1777 about one mile southwest of Historic Jonesborough in Northeast Tennessee. Taylor was a veteran of the French and Indian War and a major in the American Revolutionary War. Andrew Jackson lived in the home from 1788 to 1789. The cabin was moved intact to downtown historic Jonesborough in 1974. Such a lovely historic site in early Spring!
