River Street in Savannah, Georgia, with its cobblestone streets, has so much Southern charm. The town is chocked full of antebellum charm, with flowing Spanish moss hanging from live oak trees and its welcoming shady squares. River Street runs along the broad Savannah River. The town’s century old buildings, once cotton warehouses, are now used for antique shops, distinctive boutiques, galleries, pubs, and nightspots, along with numerous old inns and hotels. This almost monotone image with a slight hint of color from the old bricks portrays the mood, mystery and beauty of old River Street in Savannah.
