Description
Cataloochee Valley is one of the most picturesque valleys in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The valley is famous for its wildlife, and its meadows are often teeming with elk. Early one morning, when I was visiting the valley, this beautiful creature walked up to within just a few yards of where we were. Such an amazing encounter!
