“Foggy Morning on the South Fork”... There’s something about a foggy morning on the river, and especially on the South Fork of the Holston River in Northeast Tennessee. I was driving along a country backroad early one morning in autumn, and noticed the heavy fog rolling in on the river. The fog made such a beautiful backdrop for the red and gold colors of the leaves and trees in the foreground. There was such an air of mystery about it all, and I felt there was an entire book to be written about this one scene, a story to be told.... Maybe in my spare time one of these days. Smiles.
