Description
The beautiful Harris Hall was completed at Washington College Academy in the 1840s. The stately structure was located adjacent to a log building where Samuel Doak had established the Salem Church congregation and school in 1780. Washington College Academy was a private Presbyterian-affiliated education institution which offered accredited college, junior college and college preparatory instruction for day and boarding students. ...A beautiful part of the historic Washington College located in Northeast Tennessee!
