I came across this beautiful, placid lake in what is called “High Country” at Banner Elk in the Blue Ridge Mountains. A place of serenity, the peaceful lake and surrounding community in Western North Carolina are a lovely place to spend a day or a week, leaving your cares behind as you get are surrounded by the beauty of the mountains.
