Description
The old Groseclose Mansion, known as “Grass Dale”, is a fine Antebellum plantation house standing in the heart of historic Kingsport in Sullivan County, Tennessee. The mansion with its dependencies are all made of hand-fired brick, and was considered a very grand place in the mid-1800s. Construction began in 1856, and it took several years to complete the buildings due to the onset of the Civil War. Today, the mansion is privately owned.
