One of our Historical Keepsake images, “In the Hollow” depicts a beautiful little hollow on Mountain River Trail in Northeast Tennessee. The trail is part of Sycamore Shoals State Historic Site where the Overmountain Men crossed the Watauga River as they marched to the Battle of Kings Mountain during the Revolutionary War. The little stream shown here runs into the Watauga River near Sycamore Shoals at Elizabethton. I so enjoyed the rich green and deep shade of summer as I walked along this river trail. This Historical Keepsake artwork is beautiful for home or office.
