We have been very blessed in having the opportunity to visit the Charleston, South Carolina area several times over the years, and while we had passed through the lovely fishing village of nearby Shem Creek, this was our first real experience in actually staying there... What a joy! The weather was nearly perfect, and mornings were filled with long walks on the boardwalk near sunrise, which is when I captured this image of the traditional shrimpboats with a beautiful reflection in the water. Shem Creek is a place you will definitely want to visit time and again when in the Charleston area! We have such good memories from our recent trip there. I digitally enhanced the original photograph to simulate a textured painting that would capture the rising fog in early morning.
