Description
Pictorial view of Jonesborough, Tennessee... Founded in 1779, Historic Jonesborough is Tennessee’s oldest town. The town is the county seat of Washington County in Northeast Tennessee. Jonesborough was considered to have been the center of the abolitionist movement that led up to the Civil War. Today, with its eclectic shops, cobblestone streets, historic churches, old inns and quaint little streetlights, the town is packed full of charm. Jonesborough is filled with little bistros and antique shops, and is a lovely place to spend the day or a week!
