Description
The Weir Dam at South Holston in Historic Sullivan County is a beautiful place to relax, view the lake and enjoy some fishing in Northeast Tennessee. Osceola Island is pictured in the background, and the island has a beautiful hiking trail along the river. This serene and picturesque landscape cast a gorgeous reflection in South Holston. Built by TVA in 1991, the weir creates a sustained habitat for aquatic life, especially bass and trout. South Holston River is known around the globe for its wonderful trout fishing.
