“Bristol VA Tenn, A Good Place To Live” is the slogan on the town’s iconic sign on State Street near the east end of town. This image, captured in late evening just as the stars came out, shows the true beauty of Bristol.

Bristol, Tennessee-Virginia is a unique city located on the border between Tennessee and Virginia. It is known as the "Birthplace of Country Music" and is home to the famous Bristol Motor Speedway, which hosts NASCAR races and other events throughout the year. The city is divided by State Street, with the Virginia side of the city known as Bristol, Virginia, and the Tennessee side known as Bristol, Tennessee. Despite being two separate states, the two cities share a strong sense of community and work together to promote economic development and tourism in the region. The city hosts several annual events, including the Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion music festival, the Bristol Motor Speedway's NASCAR races, and the Bristol Bluegrass Festival.
