Description
A Canada goose is a gorgeous creature, and I loved watching these geese on the South Holston River in Northeast Tennessee. They seemed to be gathering in for their evening meal, with two scouting for fish, with the other two geese totally at leisure. Did you notice that three of the geese are each standing on one leg only? Must be their "resting" state...This “family reunion” brought a smile to my day!
The term "Canada goose" refers to a species of bird known scientifically as Branta canadensis. These birds are native to North America and are part of the Anatidae family, which also includes ducks and swans. Canada geese are recognized for their distinctive black heads, white cheeks, and brown bodies.

I just love this. I wonder why they keep the one leg up? are they relaxing? lol. I am learning so much from you, Shelia.
Shelia Hunt replied:
No idea on the 1 leg up thing, Sabina... We wondered about it... They were still beautiful, even in this resting state. :)
