Artist's Description
This little cascade in the hollows of the Blue Ridge Mountains in North Carolina was a place I had visited before. There’s just something about the trails and the off-trail hikes that I love in these mountains. I thought I could easily find it again, but guess I had forgotten to tie the ribbons around the trees to find my way back... Smiles. After searching quite a while this summer, I was able to find it again. I remembered it being dark in the hollows very near a spot we usually hike just off the Appalachian Trail. The joy of finding it again was immense. It was peaceful, serene, secluded... The only thing you could hear was the soft rush of the creek’s whitewater in this little cascade. The air was cool, with a subtle mist, somewhat refreshing and adding an enchanting allure to the scene. I had my little tripod which I used to shoot 3 bracketed photos so I could create a long exposure that would showcase the cascade. Hope you like this one as much as I do.
