The Georgia Queen Riverboat, located in the historic city of Savannah, Georgia, is a captivating sight, especially when illuminated at night. This 1,000-passenger riverboat, showcased here while docked along the River Street district waterfront, is a symbol of Savannah's rich maritime heritage. Established in 1991 by Captain Jonathan H. Claughton, the riverboat offers a variety of experiences, including dinner entertainment cruises and wedding packages.
As you cruise along the Savannah River, you'll be transported back to the antebellum era, surrounded by the city's enchanting Spanish moss-draped live oak trees and welcoming shady squares. It's a nostalgic journey reminiscent of the days when paddle-driven riverboats were a bustling hub for tourists exploring Savannah's scenic waterways.
