Artist's Description
An architectural wonder, the Arthur J. Ravenel Bridge at Charleston, South Carolina was spectacular in this scene with the beautiful colors of sunset in the background. The lights on the bridge had just started to come on, and it was so beautiful. This photograph was taken just after sunset, which illuminated the river and cast a wonderful glow in the sky. The Arthur J. Ravenel Jr. Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge over the Cooper River in South Carolina, connecting downtown Historic Charleston to the Mount Pleasant area. When the bridge was completed in 2005, it was the longest cable-stayed bridge of its time in North America and the tallest structure in South Carolina. Memories abound!
