Shem Creek, South Carolina is so very beautiful, especially at sunset! We recently had the pleasure of visiting this area at Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. This photograph was taken in late evening, near sunset, when everything was so peaceful and serene. Shem Creek is best known for its traditional historic charm, and its waterfront area is home to numerous shrimp boats and chartered trawlers throughout its harbor. The boardwalk along Shem Creek is host to numerous upscale restaurants and bars filled with vibrant and energetic nightlife. Over 2,200 feet long, the handsome boardwalk offers panoramic views of the marsh and Charleston Harbor. Charming and romantic, Shem Creek is a place you will definitely want to visit time and again when in the Charleston area!
