Description
This sweet young rhododendron was just starting to bloom at the Blue Ridge Parkway near Grandfather Mountain. The early morning sunlight peeked through just enough to illuminate the tender young blooms. In the shade or during the evening hours, they exude a sense of mystery and enchantment. Its delicate petals remind me of the peace and tranquility often found in nature settings like this along the parkway in Western North Carolina.
Thank you for viewing my gallery. I hope you will find my artwork worthy of hanging in your home or office, and trust you will enjoy it as much as I have enjoyed presenting it to you.

Linda, I so appreciate your wonderful comments! Sometimes I think the buds are as beautiful as the fully bloomed rhododendrons!

I love how they almost look like fabric just before they open. Beautifully done Shelia!
