Description
Lush green vegetation surrounds a peaceful stream known as Stock Creek at Natural Tunnel in Scott County, Virginia. The foliage is so dense that it nearly conceals the water below. Steep rock faces rise on one side, showcasing a secluded, rugged terrain that feels primeval and untouched by human hands.
The rock formations at Natural Tunnel in Southwest Virginia are absolutely stunning... Vibrant green foliage covers the ground and decorates the cliffside, surrounding the meandering stream known as Stock Creek below steep rock faces. The scene evokes a serene and somewhat mystical atmosphere, with the lush greenery contrasted by the ruggedness of the colorful rocks.
Natural Tunnel was called the “Eighth Wonder of the World” by William Jennings Bryan. Now a state park, the site has been attracting visitors to the mountains of Southwest Virginia for over a hundred years. The 850-acre park is owned and operated by the Commonwealth of Virginia. The Norfolk & Southern Rail Systems uses the train track that winds through the tunnel on a daily basis. The park lies in close proximity to Duffield, Clinchport, and Gate City, Virginia.
This artwork truly has that Wow factor in the larger size prints and canvas... A statement piece, this artwork is perfect for home or office. See our companion artwork “Natural Tunnel Rock Formations”.
