I watched him for the better part of thirty minutes. Truth is, he was probably watching me. Smiles. I had my shutter speed set for fast action, and was ready for him to take flight. I thought. What I ended up with, instead of a picture of him in flight, was his coming in for a graceful landing on the water. Such elegance, with not a care in the world! Isn’t that what we all want... To be graceful, elegant, with not a care in the world, coming in for a graceful landing. I think we could all probably learn a lot from this guy.
From Patrick Henry Lake in the Appalachian Mountains of Northeast Tennessee, this photograph resonates with those who seek elegance and simplicity in life.
