Sleigh bells ring... Okay, I know there’s not a sleigh or sleighbell in sight in this picture, but you can hear them, can’t you? You just know the sleigh is coming over the hill, with the bells ringing, and you’re not sure if that’s before or after you hear the roar of laughter and see the smiling faces. Remember how you used to take sleigh rides or go sledding all afternoon, and sometimes way up into the night? There was always a warm fire with beef stew waiting inside. Good memories... I just love how a picture can “take you there”! This photograph was taken in the countryside of beautiful Southwest Virginia just outside Bristol.
