Description
This late evening scene with its glorious sunset reflects the ultimate beauty of Shem Creek, South Carolina. The shrimpboats are docked in bay at left, and the beautiful marshland is shown on the right, while the stunning colors of sunset cast a soft glow on the pillars of the beautiful boardwalk that spans the length of Shem Creek. The covered rest area along the boardwalk makes a striking silhouette against the sunset and deep blue sky. A must-see when visiting Mount Pleasant and the greater Charleston area!
Shem Creek is best known for its traditional historic charm, and its waterfront area is home to numerous shrimp boats and chartered trawlers throughout its harbor. The boardwalk along Shem Creek is host to numerous upscale restaurants and bars filled with vibrant and energetic nightlife. Over 2,200 feet long, the handsome boardwalk offers panoramic views of the marsh and Charleston Harbor. Shem Creek is a place you will definitely want to visit time and again when in the Charleston area!
