“A New Day Dawning at Wrightsville Beach”... I was really excited to get up early and head to this beautifully pristine beach near Wilmington, North Carolina well before sunrise, all in the hopes of catching that beautiful glow in the sky that you can only see in early morning. When I arrived, I was pleasantly surprised to see I wasn’t the only one there... Three other humans were nestled down in their lounge chairs waiting for that spectacular moment as well. A few fishermen were already casting from the pier.Further on down the beach, I could hear the sweet harmony of a small group of young men who were singing praises a cappella. Still, there was a oneness about it all, an acceptance of everything that is in the universe, knowing that all is well. The Johnny Mercer Pier was perfectly illuminated against the sky... It had weathered many storms, and I found such solace in that beautiful moment.
