Description
This is a black and white version of a long exposure shot I captured of Looking Glass Falls just after a heavy rainfall. The whole place was enveloped in mist and fog as the evening set in. It felt surreal, like stepping into a dream. The water cascading down was softly veiled by the mist, creating a mysterious and enchanting atmosphere. I found myself staying longer than usual, drawn in by the beauty of this scenic and well-loved waterfall, which drops some 60 feet into the pool below. When editing my original photo, I made sure to preserve the soft colors and mood to closely match the scene’s natural beauty. Looking Glass Falls is situated about nine miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway in the Pisgah National Forest, close to Brevard, North Carolina.
A statement piece, this artwork is perfect for home or office. This piece of art is even more beautiful in print, canvas, or metal print. Also available in full color. The Fine Art America logo will not appear on your print or canvas.

In addition to the banner, I am adding this more permanent recognition of its FEATURE on the homepage of A TREE OR TREES IN BLACK AND WHITE. I try mightily to feature only images that would be at home in a juried competition. No doubt that this image fits that bill. CONGRATULATIONS! And consider adding your image to DISCUSSIONS "Please post your featured photograph here" for greater, long-lasting visibility.
