Description
Beaver Creek, serene and beautiful, flows gently through a wooded area, with trees displaying early autumn colors leaning over the water in the Appalachian Mountains of Northeast Tennessee. The bed of the creek is visible through the clear water, covered with fallen leaves and rocks.
Rich in history, Beaver Creek attracted some of the Holston Region’s earliest pioneers. Initially known as “Shallow Creek”, the headwaters of Beaver Creek are located just northeast of Bristol, Virginia. The creek flows through the City of Bristol, continuing in a southwesterly direction, with its mouth emptying into the South Holston River just west of Bluff City. Over the years, Beaver Creek provided enough waterpower for several mills that dotted the creek throughout the course of its history.

I love how crystal clear the water is in the foreground, and how smoothly it transitions to reflections further back. Beautiful shot!
