Description

This view of Historic Bristol Virginia-Tennessee was taken from the rooftop of the Bristol Hotel. I was fascinated by the buildings and streetlamps, which created a lovely, rather romantic view of the city. The beautiful Holston Mountain range is shown in the background.

Bristol, Tennessee-Virginia is a unique city located on the border between Tennessee and Virginia. It is known as the "Birthplace of Country Music" and is home to the famous Bristol Motor Speedway, which hosts NASCAR races and other events throughout the year. The downtown portion of the city is divided by State Street, with the Virginia side of the city known as Bristol, Virginia, and the Tennessee side known as Bristol, Tennessee. Despite being two separate states, the two cities share a strong sense of community and work together to promote economic development and tourism in the region. The city hosts several annual events, including the Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion music festival, the Bristol Motor Speedway's NASCAR races, and the Bristol Bluegrass Festival.
