Description
Watching the sunset over State Street in Bristol, Tennessee-Virginia is a beautiful experience. State Street is located in the heart of downtown Bristol, which offers a unique perspective of the city skyline. Strolling the streets of Bristol late one evening, we recently encountered one of those unique sunsets. The glow from the sunset illuminated the buildings along the street. The sign for the Paramount Center for the Arts was perfectly illuminated. The Tennessee State flag is shown in the left foreground.
Bristol, Tennessee-Virginia is a unique city located on the border between Tennessee and Virginia. It is known as the "Birthplace of Country Music" and is home to the famous Bristol Motor Speedway, which hosts NASCAR races and other events throughout the year. The city is divided by State Street, with the Virginia side of the city known as Bristol, Virginia, and the Tennessee side known as Bristol, Tennessee. Despite being two separate states, the two cities share a strong sense of community and work together to promote economic development and tourism in the region. The city hosts several annual events, including the Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion music festival, the Bristol Motor Speedway's NASCAR races, and the Bristol Bluegrass Festival.
