Description
Cummins Falls is truly one of the most breathtaking sites I’ve ever seen! Cummins Falls is the 8th largest waterfall in Tennessee. Located near Cookeville in Middle Tennessee, this stunning 75-feet tall waterfall cascades down a series of cliffs and colorful rock formations, creating an awe-inspiring display of rushing water and mist. Cummins Falls are formed by the Blackburn Fork State Scenic River as it flows through a gorge, and it is known for its natural beauty. It is a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers alike.
To reach the falls, visitors hike along a trail that spans about 2.5 miles roundtrip. The trail is moderately challenging and requires descending and ascending steep terrain, including some rugged sections. Gorge Access Permits are required for anyone who wishes to enter the gorge or access the base of the waterfall. Cummins Falls is such a beautiful sight, and well worth the hike!
