Looking Glass Falls is a waterfall you’ll want to visit over and over. Located in the Blue Ridge Mountains near Brevard, North Carolina, Looking Glass Falls has many faces as the scenery around it changes from the soft green colors of Spring, to the vivid colors in Autumn. I am always reminded that He is the Author of all Creations.
There had been a recent good rainfall just before this visit to Looking Glass Falls. I took a long exposure to capture the silkiness of the falls and some of the mist and fog. The water cascading down was softly veiled by the mist, creating a mysterious and enchanting atmosphere. The rock formations surrounding the falls were incredibly beautiful. I found myself staying longer than usual, drawn in by the beauty of this scenic and well-loved waterfall, which drops some 60 feet into the pool below. When editing my original photo, I made sure to preserve the soft colors and mood to closely match the scene’s natural beauty. Looking Glass Falls is situated about nine miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway in the Pisgah National Forest, close to Brevard, North Carolina.
